Once known as the “dark cathedral”, Liverpool Street is a major railway station in the northeastern corner of the City of London. Before venturing onto sights like Old Spitalfields Market and the Tower of London, you’ll find the Kindertransport rescue mission and Great Eastern Railway war memorials, located in the station itself.

Getting to and from London Liverpool Street
Originally designed to offer connections to London’s expanding Underground network, Liverpool Street has a Tube station on the Central, Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines. Buses and cabs are available outside the station with step-free access via the lift on the main concourse. The station has no car park, and waiting by the taxi rank for drop-offs/pick-ups is not permitted.
