Liverpool Lime Street is the city’s oldest and busiest train station, making it popular with some of the UK’s largest train operators including Northern, London Northwestern Railway, and Transport for Wales. Local services to destinations like Cleethorpes run from here, and long-distance routes like Birmingham, London, and Leeds run from this station.

Arriving at Newcastle
Newcastle Station is located in the heart of the city centre. As you walk out of the station on Neville Street you’ll find yourself surrounded by interesting things to do and convenient transport links. There are buses, taxis and the Tyne & Wear Metro all at Newcastle Station.
Newcastle is famous for its friendly hospitality, which is clearly visible the moment you step outside the station. The Quayside along the River Tyne has a whole host of interesting bars, pubs, and restaurants to enjoy and is only twenty minutes from the station. If history and culture are more your thing, Newcastle Castle and the Discovery Museum are only a five-minute walk from the station.
Newcastle Station is a major station along the East Coast Mainline running from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh Waverley. Because of this, many major rail franchises that operate on the East Coast go through Newcastle Station. These include LNER, CrossCountry, TransPennine Express, Northern, and Lumo.
