London Marylebone train station

Opening in 1899, London Marylebone station is located in the City of Westminster and is the last major UK railway station to open for 100 years. It was also London’s smallest terminal and had half the number of platforms originally planned. As the lines are non-electrified, the station is the only terminus in London with only diesel trains.

With decreasing traffic and even the risk of closure in the 1980s, Marylebone station has had a new lease of life thanks to commuters using the London to Aylesbury Line. It also became the terminus of the Chiltern Main Line in 1993. A popular filming location, Marylebone remains fairly quiet compared to other London terminals and is one of the stations on British Monopoly boards.

Marylebone station has free WiFi, shops, seating areas and step-free access to all platforms. There are no waiting rooms, but passengers travelling to Bicester Village have access to the dedicated kiosk.
